This year’s theme will see us exploring the ways in which gardens and gardening can enhance our wellbeing.
A new survey of UK gardeners has revealed the positive effects gardening has on their health and fitness.
A number of activities will take place at RHS Garden Wisley, to demonstrate just how gardens can have a positive effect on our mental and physical wellbeing.
Activities will include Tai Chi classes, buggy fitness class for families, and ‘meet the gardener’ events, where gardeners and horticulturists will look at how their roles keep them happy and healthy.
Matthew Pottage, Curator at RHS Garden Wisley, said: ‘At the RHS Gardens we will be looking at ways to show how everyday activities such as digging, raking and hoeing can keep you fit, and how the garden can be used for exercise and having fun.’
